“THE ARABIAN NIGHTS”: AN EVENING TO SUPPORT AUT AUT MODENA ASSOCIATION

With great enthusiasm, the Modena Golf & Country Club in Colombaro hosted the enchanting Ferraluglio evening, "The Arabian Nights' on July 16th. This extraordinary event provided an opportunity to experience a magical atmosphere while supporting a noble cause.

A Dreamlike Experience

A mesmerizing evening featuring a poolside dinner under a starlit sky gifted participants unforgettable moments. A fairytale castle and oriental melodies enriched the event, creating an immersive experience that transported everyone to the enchanting world of Arabian tales. Odalisques, fortune tellers, and giant lanterns brought the famous stories from The Arabian Nights to life, whisking attendees away to another reality.

The event was made possible thanks to the many sponsors, including Edilteco, which offered participation to its employees, showcasing its commitment to social responsibility and meaningful causes.

The Arabian Nights

Diving deeper into its meaning, the stories of The Arabian Nights recount:

King Shahryar, the Sultan of Persia and India, discovers that his beautiful, wealthy wife is unfaithful to him with a slave. Enraged at her betrayal and convinced of the iniquity of all women, he orders her execution.

From then on, each night, he marries a new bride, only to have her executed at dawn, until Shahrazād, a court woman, volunteers to be his wife. To save herself, Shahrazād begins to tell the Sultan captivating stories, always leaving them unfinished at dawn. This clever strategy lasts for a thousand and one nights, during which the Sultan, enthralled by the tales and their morals, undergoes a transformation. In the end, Shahryar acknowledges his mistakes, spares Shahrazād, marries her, and brings peace and prosperity to his kingdom.

An Opportunity for Solidarity

The evening had an even greater purpose: the proceeds were entirely donated to AUT AUT, an association that supports families with autistic individuals.

The theme "The Arabian Nights" evoked the magic of the renowned collection of tales, a symbol of infinite stories and a world of hope and wonder. Similarly, the support provided to AUT AUT Association reflects an ongoing, limitless commitment to the well-being of families with autistic individuals.

Just as Shahrazād’s stories weave into an endless narrative, our support aims to create a lasting impact. Every donation and act of solidarity helps to write a new chapter of hope and support, inspired by the tales that unfold night after night. The magic of "A Thousand and One Nights" becomes a symbol of our desire to provide unbounded assistance, concretely supporting families through AUT AUT.

The AUT AUT Association

AUT AUT is a group of volunteers that promotes and coordinates assistance, training, and fundraising activities to support families with autistic individuals in the Modena province. Founded in 2003 as a branch of the Aut Aut Association in Reggio Emilia, it aims to represent and assist families with autistic individuals in Modena and its surrounding areas. Their mission is to provide support and training, with special attention to family dynamics and the needs of siblings of individuals with disabilities.
