We are thrilled to celebrate Gaia’s academic success as she brilliantly completed her degree last week. During her internship with us, Gaia demonstrated exceptional dedication and passion, qualities that also shone through in her thesis, titled “Teamwork.”
Her academic work explored the crucial role of teamwork in organizations, starting with a historical analysis and including theories from philosophers, sociologists, and psychologists. Gaia's thesis examines how, from the late 19th century to the present, collaboration and cooperation in teams have become central in many professional contexts. She delved into the work of key figures such as Kurt Lewin, Charles Cooley, and Elton Mayo, who helped lay the foundations of social psychology and human resource management practices.
The final chapter of her thesis focused on a concrete case study: Edilteco. Here, Gaia analyzed the positive impact of team-building activities on employees, demonstrating how teamwork not only enhances productivity but also fosters a healthy and motivating work environment.
When we asked Gaia how her experience at Edilteco influenced her thesis, she responded enthusiastically: “For me, Edilteco is all about the people. Teamwork isn’t just an abstract concept; it’s built on relationships, shared emotions, and common goals. This was the starting point of my thesis.” She emphasized how the company’s innovative practices, focused on employee well-being, brought to life what she had previously only studied in books.
Another key aspect of her journey was discovering a new passion: professional writing. Gaia shared that before her internship, she had never delved into this area of writing, but working on articles during her time at Edilteco revealed a new inclination. “Writing articles opened me up to a new passion; I love communicating ideas through words,” she said, noting how this skill also proved valuable in crafting her thesis.
Now that she has completed her degree, Gaia has no plans to slow down. She attended a summer course in Art of Communication at Harvard University and has recently started her master’s degree in Advertising, Digital Communication, and Business Creativity at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. In January, she will head to the United States to continue her studies at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, supported by an Erasmus scholarship. Meanwhile, she has taken on a leadership role in marketing, becoming the marketing manager of a university association.
When asked to share a memorable moment from her internship, Gaia reflected on the richness of each day: “Every day brought something new to learn. But the real pleasure was sharing the daily routine with people who made me feel part of the team and encouraged me to give my best.”
Looking ahead, Gaia has a clear vision: she will continue studying while pursuing projects in communication and marketing, driven by a strong motivation to combine theory and practice. We are confident that her journey will take her far, and we are proud to have been part of her growth.
Gaia’s journey demonstrates that talent, combined with passion and determination, can open up a world of possibilities. We wish her all the best, confident that her future will be filled with success.
